Best Prop Firms in Nigeria: The Honest Ranking โ€” funded trading guide

What is the best prop firm in Nigeria? The firm that accepts Nigerian traders on the same terms as every other market, pays rewards when your trading earns them instead of when its calendar allows, and asks the least for every $1,000 of funded size. In this ranking that firm is SFX Funded. Here is the proof.

Most Nigerian traders open the search with one question: which firm takes me? The question that decides the outcome is different. It is how much a firm wants to get you in, and how quickly your share comes back out.

Six firms accept Nigerian traders, and five tests set the order.

How this ranking was built

A sticker price hides more than it shows. Two firms can advertise a challenge on a $5,000 account and charge very different amounts for the same funded size, which is why every entry here is measured per $1,000 of account size.

The five tests:

  • Acceptance. Does the firm open accounts for Nigerians on the same terms it gives everyone else?
  • Reward timing. Do you request a reward when your trading earns it, or does a firm-set cycle decide?
  • The payout route. Can the money reach Nigeria without a bank taking a week and a slice?
  • Cost per $1,000. Entry price divided by funded size, so a low sticker cannot hide.
  • The split and the ceiling. The share you keep, and how far the account can scale.

One thing to settle early: this is SFX Funded's blog and SFX is one of the six, so we say it on the first screen rather than the last. For the slower walk through local payment routes and program rules, the prop trading in Nigeria guide covers that ground.

* Cost per $1,000 is the entry price divided by funded account size. Competitor entries stay general because their pages change, so check each firm's current prices, promos and model before you pay. SFX figures as at 20 September 2026.

The spread between the lowest and highest entry here is real money before you place a trade, and a Nigerian trader paying in naira converts it twice: once by the card, once by the exchange rate on the day.

Cost per $1,000 of funded size: $5.20 at SFX Funded from a $39 entry on a $7,500 account, with FTMO, FundedNext, The5ers and Goat Funded Trader higher and FundingPips cheaper only on a smaller account

The best prop firms in Nigeria, ranked

Acceptance comes first, because a firm that will not take you cannot pay you.

1. SFX Funded

Reward speed is what a Nigerian trader feels first. Payouts are processed in under 8 hours on average, rewards are requested on demand rather than on a firm-set cycle, and the 48-hour window carries $1,000 of the company's own money behind it. The record behind those terms: $3M+ paid to 32,000+ traders across 130+ countries, an average reward of $1,132, and 4.8/5 from 3,000+ reviewed traders on SFX Funded Reviews.

The profit split starts at 85% and climbs to 100% as the account grows. Three routes in cover different traders: the Rapid Challenge settles it in one, and Instant Funding skips the evaluation and starts you funded on day one. Balances scale to $3.2M, and resets work at any stage, so one bad day does not erase the work behind the account.

Entry is $39 for a $7,500 account, which works out at $5.20 per $1,000, the lowest figure here. That $39 buys funded size instead of asking you to deposit $7,500 of your own money. The fee comes back alongside the fifth successful profit split, and no evaluation carries a time limit, so the hours you trade are the hours you choose.

2. FTMO

FTMO runs a two-phase evaluation and supports MT4, MT5 and cTrader, and it accepts Nigerian traders. Rewards move on the firm's schedule rather than on demand, and no route skips the evaluation.

Cost per $1,000 sits above the SFX figure, and the terminals are the usual reason traders pick it. Everyone else gets more funded size per dollar of entry at SFX.

3. FundedNext

FundedNext runs a two-phase evaluation with rewards on the firm's cycle and accepts Nigerian traders. The entry costs more per $1,000 than SFX, and the top of its split depends on the cycle you trade. No route skips the evaluation, so a trader who wants to start funded in week one ends up at SFX.

4. FundingPips

FundingPips accepts Nigerian traders and sells two-phase and single-phase challenges. Its entry prices read low on its own page because the accounts behind them are smaller. Sized to match, the SFX entry comes out cheaper per $1,000, and rewards follow a firm-set cycle rather than your request.

5. The5ers

The5ers runs multi-step and single-step programs and accepts Nigerian traders, with rewards on its own schedule. It costs more per $1,000 than SFX and asks for more stages before funding.

6. Goat Funded Trader

Goat Funded Trader accepts Nigerian traders on a two-phase model with rewards released on a set schedule. The entry costs more per $1,000 than SFX, on a smaller starting account.

The Nigerian payout reality: naira, cards and crypto

Nigeria adds a step to every cross-border payment, and the step costs money both ways. Entry fees are charged in US dollars, so your card or bank converts naira at the rate it applies that day, plus whatever fee an international payment carries. The lower the dollar price, the fewer naira leave your account.

On the way back, crypto is the route Nigerian traders ask about first. A reward that lands in a wallet you control skips the correspondent bank, the intermediary charge and the clearing queue, and an app such as Rise settles it into naira on your timing. Whatever route you choose, confirm it reaches Nigeria before you pay, and test that your card processes a US dollar payment.

48 hours or $1,000 extra. Every eligible reward request is processed inside 48 hours, or SFX adds $1,000 on top of the reward, under the published guarantee terms. That is the company's money on the line instead of yours.

Read that against the reward column above, where competitors work to a cycle and the trader waits. A published penalty for a late payment is one reason the SFX row leads this ranking.

The lowest entry in this ranking is the two-phase route: a $7,500 funded account for $39.

Who each firm suits

  • SFX Funded: rewards on demand, the lowest cost per $1,000, and a route that skips the evaluation.
  • FTMO: a trader at home on MT4, MT5 or cTrader, paying more per $1,000 to stay there.
  • FundingPips: the smallest payment on the page, with a smaller account behind it.
  • FundedNext: a two-phase evaluation with rewards that arrive on the firm's cycle.
  • The5ers: a staged program for a trader who can wait for the reward window.
  • Goat Funded Trader: a two-phase model with a set reward schedule.

The verdict

SFX Funded. Here is why: rewards on demand with an average payout inside 8 hours, a 48-hour window with $1,000 behind it, a split that climbs to the full share, no time limits on the evaluation, a funded balance scaling to $3.2M, and the lowest cost per $1,000 in this ranking. For a trader paying in naira, that is the shortest distance between an entry fee and money in hand.

FTMO brings the terminals. FundingPips brings the smaller account. FundedNext, The5ers and Goat Funded Trader bring variations of the same cycle-based model. None of them hand you the reward on request the way SFX does, which is the difference this ranking turns on. The cheapest prop firm challenge comparison runs the same per-$1,000 math across a longer list.
